We've had many bean bags over the years, and these do appear to be well made for the price. However, the dimensions were completely inaccurate and I ended up with much smaller bags than intended. The kids are happy, and thankfully still small, so we're set. But had I ordered these for an adult they would be going back. I'm not sure how they're getting their measurements, but they are certainly off.Update: After seeing multiple references in the reviews regarding smaller than expected size, I finally got out the measuring tape. It turns out I'd paid for two Adult bags, but had actually received two Child Large bags. (Wasn't a matter of lofty expectations after all!) The difference in price between the two sizes was 24.00 per bean bag. Amazon is issuing a partial credit, but I have to wonder how many other people have received the smaller bags after paying the price for larger. I had planned to purchase one more XL bag, but now I simply won't. I have a feeling I'd receive the wrong size again and don't want to chance it at any rate. MEASURE your bag!Wow! This is the most comfortable bean bag chair I have ever sat upon. (Tested a few and tried out lots of them). It is very large and takes up about the same floor space as a sofa chair so if space is an issue go a size down. But if space is not an issue, get this bean bag! I'm 5'6" and I fit very well in it. This is a great bean bag for a grown up. I bought it for my 10 year old son. He loves it and he'll grow into it. When he dives into it, not a single limb touches the ground. The material seems very sturdy. I think the shape of the chair is key to its comfort and provides great head, neck and arm support.. I never thought a bean bag chair could be as comfortable as this one. I have never filled out such a detailed review before but this chair has completely wow-ed me.The Shape and color were exactly as it looks in the picture. I am a 5’2” adult female and I fit in it just fine. However, it is really better suited for children or teenagers. Perhaps the xlarge size would be better for adults. My 8 year old loved it but immediately asked me what the “smell” was. It is made of thick vinyl and it smelled when taken out of the plastic bag. Perhaps that will go away after awhile. I was mostly just disappointed when I saw the warning label that said it contained chemicals that can cause cancer and not approved by the state of california. It shocked me and I am going to return it. I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing the item. Other then that it is pretty well made and looks like it would hold up.I've been looking for a comfortable (and safe) bean bag chair for my 2 1/2 year old daugther.After reading the MANY positive reviews on this item, I thought my search had ended. For $50, this comes in a very attractive Khaki color that works VERY well with my home's decor.The problem is in the filling. Maybe I am missing something, but when I think BEAN bag chair, I imagine that it will mold and shape to my daughter's body to ensure a comfortable sitting place.Not so. The styrofoam (for lack of a better description) packing material inside this is not very malleable at all. Now, I thought, maybe it's because of my daughter's light weight...but again, no.I am 195 lbs, and even I could not get this to mold comfortable to MY frame.Nearly every review on here mentions that this DOES in fact mold to your body.Nope.It's a damn shame too, because the material appears to be easy to clean, and the color and size are PERFECT for our home...it is definitely not an eyesore. The problem is, what good is a good-looking bean bag chair if it is not comfortable to sit in?So, for now, my search for the perfect, comfortable and attractive bean bag chair goes on. Maybe I was expecting too much for such a reasonable price.I wanted to love these- really I did. They look beautiful and the size is perfect but the quality is poor, at best. I figured made in the US- these are the way to go, right? NO- POOR seam work. First, the thread used is white so any pulling of the seams is evident. Within the first 2 wks the top portion seam ripped & spilled beads- fine, I have children, figured it just needed reinforcement so I stitched it with an upholstery needle & upholstery thread. Well, that's the only place that seems to be holding tight. We have 2 in adult large & both have this same problem. Now we are going on a year of having these & lucky thing there's a refill request on the tag because they're both flat now. So I get to spend this weekend refilling these bags after taking everything out and restitching all the seams. For the money, I'm not happy. On the plus side the material still appears new (except for the popping white seams all over). These are used by kids of 60 lbs- it's not like they are getting smooshed by a large man daily.These are really nice. We got them as extra seating for kids in the family room and they are perfect! Not too big (easily stack in corner when not in use) but big enough to be comfy even for adults. They are not too hard on the eyes, either. I debated about this b/c it seemed like a lot of $ to spend on beanbag chairs, but am glad I didn't cheap out. I'm not a freak about chemicals, but didn't really like the idea of my kids sitting on carcinogens every day for 10 years, then when I read these were actually made in the US, the deal was sealed. USA! USA! USA! These are well worth the extra money. These are not the clunky, heavy, nasty beanbag chairs of the 70's.I am an adult and ordered this so I would have a comfortable place to read in my home office occasionally and this did the trick. I did have to take out a shoebox size of the pellets on the inside though to make it where I could sit comfortably, it was a little too full when I got it. It was easy to do. I plan to buy another for my stepsons room when we remodel it this summer.Is good to lean back, but I prefer something to situp a little straighter, I'm sure it would be more comfortable if I had carpet floors instead of concrete. It is low so make sure if your T.V. is mounted on the wall, it is not too high or you may get a stiff neck. I also install T.V.s and all A/V needs so setting mine at the right height wasn't a problem..LOL.. Great chair for reading and meditating though, definitely a plus.
